Parkland Jays RVers Club Overview
Established on October 20, 1997, the Parkland Jays RVers Club is an active organization with 62 members and 34 RVs. The club’s primary focus is camping, fostering camaraderie and lasting friendships through regular campouts and social activities. Typical campouts include games, local tours, shopping, and evening campfires featuring music, singalongs, and storytelling.
Members are encouraged to support local communities by visiting farmers’ markets and businesses during outings. At year-end, the club makes a donation to one or two local charities.
The camping season runs from the early May to late September, with 10–20 campouts annually, often in collaboration with other clubs or special guests. Campouts are coordinated by the Wagonmaster, and members may participate as their schedules allow.
Club meetings / socials are held after the camping season to address business matters, play games and socialize. The annual Christmas party, a catered event, takes place in late November or early December.
